Convinced that school chairs were more punishing than welcoming, Grcic sought to create a chair that offered comfort in more than just an upright position. Pro chair supports a range of ergonomic positions. The seat is round with a narrow, flexible backrest, which also features a pronounced curve that fits snugly into your lumbar region. The backrest also fits between your legs if you should choose to sit on the chair backward while also doubling as an armrest if you are perched sideways. Its structural geometry echoes Flototto’s earlier shapes with a pronounced S-curve where the seat meets the backrest. Currently, the chair comes in three sizes: one each for primary, middle, and high school students, with additional sizes planned for the future.
