Motivated by human rituals and a desire to rethink the conventions of design, Aldo Bakker created for Living Georg Jensen a collection of artistic, yet practical items for the home.
Aldo Bakker collaborates with Living Georg Jensen to produce a collection of artistic, yet practical items for the home presented during Milan Design Week.
Exploring the movement of liquids and their consistencies, Aldo Bakker has created four unique products, unrelated in design, yet connected by purpose.
In what is perhaps the most unconventional collection from Living Georg Jensen yet, Bakker’s designs have strong links to art and sculpture: the magnificent Pitcher for water, the linear and masculine Iron Oil Pourer, cast in matte black stainless steel, and the elegant polished steel Sugar Container are instantly eye-catching and invite exploration of form and function. Despite its diminutive size, the idiosyncratic iPourer exudes character beyond its size, seemingly destined for much more than simply pouring salt.
