Junya Ishigami’s Drop Table is a paradox of fluid static. The table is formed using GS Plexiglas®, taking some 50 hours of work to create after it undergoes each step in the process. The focal point of the table is the giant, contact lens-resembling “drop” tabletop. At a glance, it appears to be a delicate plate of glass. Upon closer inspection, you will notice how solid the 2000 x 3000 mm, and 70 mm thick sheet of cast GS Plexiglas® is, boasting a diameter of 148 cm. Three cast GS Plexiglas® cylinders are interpolated into the circular slots of the top by a machine process that integrates them perfectly. Afterwards, the 60 mm legs are polished by hand, each of them slightly different according to where they were positioned into varying angles of the tabletop. Drop endures an extensive smoothing and polishing procedure overall, contributing to the ice sculpture appearance of the final product. Because the affect of the Drop is meant to distort the perception of the piece’s surrounding space and objects, Ishigami’s Family Chair line is the ideal company to compliment and complete this surrealistic endeavor.
This table can serve as a dining table (height 75cm) or a coffee table (height 39cm) and is crafted with a glossy transparent perspex.

If a chair could resemble a playground apparatus, then that is exactly what Konstantin Grcic has achieved with his Chair_One Public Seating System 2. Die-cast aluminum bases are connected by a anodized aluminum plank, painted in polyester powder and connecting three seats together. One version of this seating system by Grcic is modified by adding a small, circular or square-shaped aluminum table in HPL laminate. This seating system has an industrial feel that is complimented by the design’s innately urban sensibility. Suitable for outdoor use, colors include: white, black and matte black.

The Belvedere lamp designed by Antonio Citterio hardly conjures up images of a stout, mustached butler- but rather a simple light, discreetly illuminating its surroundings, set among the elements. Rain and humidity do not impede on its function, the lamp is a natural beacon. The LEDs, an energy efficient source of light, does not emit any heat. The understatement inherent in its design drives the Belvedere into a new season of luminescence.

These upholstered benches convey a comfort with a minimalistic approach. A broader front that slims up on the sides is of a generous size that adds to the effect of suspension given by metal tubes supporting the couch. These are the features perfectly expressed by the name given to this project. “Cloud”.
With backrests smaller than the seats, where at the ends the fold-back part, there is a spot with which to rest your arms.
A rounded joint, combines benches of different sizes, to create various seat lengths.
