Legend has it that Japan’s oldest tea house is located on the road between Nara and Kyoto. Fascinated by this location, the Italian designer Federica Capitani was inspired to create a minimalist tea collection. All items feature a harmonious look thanks to the subtle use of their material and their gentle, round shapes. Available in three different sizes, the delicate drinking vessels with the dotted relief design sit perfectly in the hand. Accessories of bamboo emphasise the ceremonial character of the set.

The design of the Cha Tea collection uses a language of minimal shapes, so that teapot, cups, plates and bowls can live together in harmony. The mono-materiality of the collection takes its origins from the rounded, soft shape and integrated elements of the teapot, where body and handle are merged together to create a distinctive object with its own discrete aesthetic.

The constellation of dots placed on the outer skin of the teacups creates a low-relief ornament that has a lightness of touch and is pleasing to hold; its delicate raised surface also enabling heat dispersal.
The natural colour and structure of the wooden plates and bowls add a raw warmth to the collection.
