The dash LED task light by Steelcase in collaboration with UK design firm Foster + Partners has made strides in sustainable, innovative office lighting through the use of LED technology and carefully thought out design. Dash is the first freestanding LED task lamp to achieve BIMFA Level 1 certification, utilizing a mercury-free LED and a wireless current to eliminate PVC.
Featuring clean lines and a wide range of flexibility, dash is both stylish and highly functional. Boasting superior light quality, the dash was designed to eliminate contrast and shadows, effectively reducing eyestrain and improving worker comfortability. Because of dash’s optimal 3,500K color temperature, it “falls off” considerably less than other LED lights while enhancing visibility. It also has a built in convection airflow solution that minimizes heat transfer and prevents the head of the lamp from heating up.
Other key features of the dash LED task light include: a 50,000-hour-rated life; 8-watt LED; continuous range dimming control from 100% to 15%; three pivot points of articulation; an optional occupancy sensor; and a dual conductivity path to prevent power loss.
Dash is 97% recyclable, and made up of 32% recycled content. Available in its original incarnate and as a mini. Comes in 9 colors.
