Modern housewares manufacturer Alessi teamed up with Finnish designer Eero Aarnio to create the Diva, a curvaceous green, black, or white watering can that looks as good as it is handy.
From Alessi, a watering can with attitude, that of an operatic diva tilting backwards in full forte. “The Diva watering can retains the Scandinavian simplicity, functionality and sense of play that this legendary Finnish designer is known for.”
The “Diva” Watering can, designed by Eero Aarnio, has a comma-like shape thrusting upwards towards the top of the spout, almost an expression of movement even when the object is not in use. “I believe that above all, utilitarian products should be functional, pleasing to the eye, pleasing to touch, and if they happen to bring a smile to your face all the better. That’s a big plus and sometimes it’s reason enough to buy the product.”
