Rqr Studio is based in Valencia and formed by industrial designers Roberto Celada and Raquel Esteve. Their work is conceived not only as a response to company needs but also as an outcome to their personal and creative concerns. Their aim is to create functional objects whilst projecting all the possibilities that materials and processes can offer. Diversity is one of their main pillars when facing the challenges of working for several industries at a time. Rqr studio strives to evidence their commitment while involving themselves along the entire creative process, from the very first milestone till the project materialisation.
The 70s was a great decade for the invention of dome shaped objects, like the transparent dome umbrella, the dome hat with those round orange sunglasses incorporated into it; but what we most cherish from this decade is the dome of silence from the TV. series Get Smart. When the designers, Rqr Studio, brought this design to us, we just had to have it, in memory of agent 86.
