Havaianas, known for its flip-flops, has combined its comfortable rubber outsole with a hand-stitched upper composed of jute fibres and suede. A unique feature of its design is a foldable piece at the heel, allowing the sneaker to be also worn as a sneaker. Also, the fibres of the upper decompose at a faster rate than the conventional fibres. It is worth noting that their production is the main economic activity for over 50,000 families living near the Amazon region.
