Philippe Starck and Eugeni Quitllet have teamed up to create the chic magic hole chair (featuring two other pieces in the collection) designed for outdoor use. The shock resistant and weather proof materials have been manufactured using a rotational moulding technique. The straight silhouette features subtly rounded edges, the only soft aspect of this decidedly masculine-looking black and orange chair. The magic holes, hollowed contours in the armrests identified by their orange color, are a stylishly conventional feature ideal for storing newspapers or magazines when not acting as a simple decorative detail. The other members of the magic hole trio are a two-seater sofa and a smaller table front armchair.
