Japanese design studio Nendo has created a bathroom collection for Italian brand Bisazza. The Nendo collection is complemented by accessories such as clocks, mirrors, shelves, and vases designed to be displayed individually or combined with other objects. Larch wood, a natural material known for its golden hues, is used for the bathtub, cabinets and sink basin / counter combinations. The minimalist aesthetic is balanced by the warmth of the wood.
Oki Sato, director of Nendo, describes his inspiration for the Nendo Collection, “In the past, Japanese bathrooms were a place for communication. Families bathing together as well as public baths were very common until few decades ago. Now, the bathing experience has become very private and functional, even in Japan. The collection envisions the bathing environment to be very private and functional, but having the sense of ‘gathering’.”
