Drawing inspiration from sheets drying on clotheslines in his native Venice Italy, designer Luca Nichetto noticed that the sheets also served to absorb the sound of children playing in the streets. He then applied this logic to Notes, which serve not only to absorb sound, but also to divide rooms and public spaces into more intimate and usable “rooms”, without having to erect any walls or create any new structures. Just like the sheets in Venice, Notes hang on a line and can be adjusted simply by rotating each piece how the user sees fit. There are five different shapes available to best suit the space and application, and each is available in any choice of fabric.
