When you think about it, wine and olive oil are pretty similar; both are fruits that get crushed and processed into an edible liquid. Both can be affected by the breed of fruit used and by the weather and soil that the fruit grew in. Lorenzo piccione, a sicilian olive oil producer, and Köbi Wiesendanger took all this to the proverbial logical conclusion and made the taste-huile olive oil taster. you can use it like a small oil cruet, but it was designed for tasting olive oil – that is, drinking it directly from the taster without pouring it on food with a clever design to bring out extra virgin olive oil’s flavors and aromas.
