Although inspired by travel and the notion of portability, the new Objets Nomades series of foldable furniture from Louis Vuitton is far removed from the typical pastoral image one gets when imagining a nomadic lifestyle. But of course, we would expect no less from the French luxury house, who continues its love affair with the world of travel with this collection.
French designer Christian Liaigre produced a portable travel desk in sycamore wood, leather and aluminium, which folds up into a small briefcase form. Using the portability of easels used by painters in the 19th century as inspiration. With a maple frame and Nomade-leather top, the desk is sturdy yet lightweight.
