Designed, engineered, and built by hand at Italdesign’s Moncalleri, Italy, facilities, this Toyota sport/utility provides a 3.3-liter DOHC V-6 engine, electric-motor assisted hardware, continuously variable transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. This 3100-pound ecomissile with 268 total horsepower also features a side-exit exhaust and reprogrammed engine-management systems. Battery charging is assisted by Toyota’s regenerative braking system as well as solar panels affixed to the car’s front, which generate an additional 250 watts of free power, with the help of the sun, of course.
