The entrance area drew the attention with the conceptual introduction of Sphere table placed in oasis of plants. The Sphere Table was developed as part of the redesign of the North Delegates Lounge at the seat of the United Nations in New York that Hella Jongerius was commissioned to complete.

The Sphere Table combines a solid wood table with a large dome-shaped ‘bubble’ made of opalescent acrylic glass. The hemispherical screen can be attached to either the left or right side of the table, making it highly adaptable to individual needs. For this reason, the Sphere Table is ideal for the home office, where the bubble creates a private and sheltered space within a room. The Sphere Table combines a futuristic-looking sphere with the familiar archetype of a traditional table and thus makes a statement in any environment.

The dome is moveable, so you are able to decide if you want it on the left or right side. This makes the table completely adaptable to your own needs.

The Vitra Sphere Table is the perfect desk for anyone who is private, but doesn’t want to feel trapped.
