French brand louis vuitton unveiled a new luxury collection ‘objets nomades’ at the temporary louis vuitton miami design district store during design miami 2012 – a series of foldable furniture designs and travel accessories using louis vuitton’s exclusive nomade leather.
The company worked with a various designers such as maarten baas, patricia urquiola, nendo’s oki sato, atelier oi and christian liaigre to conceive 16 pieces – including hanging chairs, lamps, foldable furniture and travel accessories. the designs naturally boast leather features, each one tailored specifically to accommodate the sophisticated globe-trotter.
Patricia urquiola designed a hanging ‘swing chair’. the collection combined the skills of heavy-weight creatives in the industry to elegantly equip the refined traveler in classic louis vuitton style.
