Spacious footwells, big doors and beautifully trimmed seats are just some of the fantastic qualities of the Volkswagen Up. It also features heated seats, electric mirrors and rear parking sensors. The 1.0-litre, three-cylinder engine is responsive; this version develops 74bhp. Acceleration (0-62mph) takes 13.2sec. Its 106g/km of CO² attracts Band B road tax of £20. More important, its EU Urban fuel consumption is 47.9mpg with an official Combined economy of 60.1mpg. Definitely a game-changer within the realm of existing budget cars.
