The weighty 4th Dimension wall clock stands out thanks to its unusual material: concrete. Created by the Taiwanese industrial design firm 22designstudio, the three-pound clock resembles a circular staircase with each hour represented by a miniature triangular step. Investigating concrete due to its wide-availability as well as it’s low cost, the designers have explored the way in which different processes of production can create stunning effects. The concept of linking time and space is visualized through the spiral form and the interaction with the hands which continuously circle around as time goes by; thus the “4th” dimension. Light and shadow also interact, providing for delightful results. AA battery (included) Available at [ Luminaire online store ]
