Building on the Countour+ camera while also borrowing a couple features from the ContourRoam, the Counter+2 rears its head in the world of mountable cameras with some solid enhancements to its former model. Maintaining its cool, cylindrical shape the Contour+2 boasts 1080p HD with overlays for video speed, distance and elevataion that can be shared across social networks via the GPS receiver. The connectivity of the +2 isn’t limited to social networks, it can also connect to your mobile device enabling the device to act as a viewer and or remote as necessary. This feature is especially useful while the camera is mounted to a helmet or other object. Additionally, the 270-degree rotating lens allows for mounting in any position for a plethora of possible angles. A built in alignment laser shoots out a beam for help reorienting the camera.
Contour+2 now includes a waterproof case that, when protecting the camera, can be submerged up to 60m underwater. Because the camera is known for its visual clarity more so than for its audio capabilities, there is an external microphone jack on the bottom of the camera. Audio settings can be easily adjusted in the settings menu of the mobile app or using Storyteller.
The locking instant On-Record switch is a breeze, and the new status button lets you easily confirm battery life and memory space.
Sensors in the camera have been fine-tuned and tested to produce Contour’s highest quality action video yet, and all camera settings for the Contour+2 are completely customizable.
Contour+2 can mount compatibly to older mounts through the grooved extension below its barrel.
Other Contour+2 highlights: HD Modes include 1080p @ 30fps, 960 @ 30fps, 720 @ 30fps and 60fps; slow motion: 480p @ 30fps, 60fps, and 120fps; 5MP Still Photo: Every 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, or 60 seconds.
