As spring/summer menswear becomes more experimental, Salvatore Ferragamo has used bright and childlike primary and secondary colors to create an adult-friendly collection fit for an urban casual man.
Salvatore Ferragamo took us back to our childhood with a color-block collection in red, green and blue. High-summer vibrancy was introduced later with sunshine yellow and shocking orange, along with tie-dye and contrasting collars.
Playing to the current sport theme, models wore loose-fitting suits with matching trainers – multicolored for the statement outfits. For a daytime look, the chic suits came in off-white with color-blocking accessories from yellow belts to turquoise-blue bags. Striking dip-dye jackets were matched with silver-grey trousers and matching canvas pumps.
For impact, the high-summer collection featured shocking red trousers and multicolored trainers, reminiscent of 1990s pop culture, and knee-length jackets in deep blue or silver. Later, softer neon pastels were introduced, using varying shades of orange such as peach and coral.
With a collection full of color blocking, bright colours and multi-colored trainers, we certainly took a trip down memory lane, from Paddington Bear to Postman Pat and beyond.
