Ekobo has launched a new brand BIOBU, a range of fun and functional tableware for children made from a bio-compostable bamboo fibre: resistant, reusable and renewable! Practical and durable, the environmentally friendly range includes cups, bowls, trays and plates, all available in a palette of bright rainbow hues.
If all of that cheap plastic dishware you have in your cabinets for your kids gives your design-loving self hives, take note. Product designer at EKOBO ECOLOGY & DESIGN, Boo Louis, recently launched a kid’s tableware collection called BIOBU by EKOBO. The eco-friendly line, made from biodegradable bamboo fibers, is the perfect alternative to melamine and other plastics that tend to leach toxins when heated or from wear. So there’s no risk to your health or the environment.
Innovative material: the set is all made from bamboo fibre which is reduced to powder, then mixed with plant cellulose. This material is a sustainable alternative to plastic, melamine or disposable dinnerware.
When you don’t wish to use the product further, rather than throwing it in the garbage, plant it in the soil and the matter will decompose rapidly without harming the environment.
Designed in France and made in China from natural resources.
The collection is just as durable and practical as other children’s dishware but it looks so much better. The pieces are designed for daily use and can hold hot and cold foods and liquids. They’re even dishwasher safe!
You can buy the line in sets or separately in six super fun colors. Designed for daily use at home yet great for outdoor picnics too.
