Piero Lissoni used extensive research for the Case Stystem 2.3, combining the demand for ultra sophisticated design with intelligent and innovative technical solutions. The handles are integrated into the doors to remain invisible, while the stainless steel worktop rests on an aluminum frame, remaining suspended between the base and top. Many technical solutions like the ‘Blu-motion’ seal-mechanism allow the doors of the units to recede softly and silently closed. This innovative design introduces the suspended base module, which is kept in suspension by a built-in-L-shaped steel joint. It is supported on one side by a low open faced module and is fixed to the floor behind a regular base unit. While fulfilling all practical necessities this modular design takes the traditional kitchen to another level.
