Krabhuis – Dutch for scratchhouse – is a cardboard house for your cat. It was designed by three architects from Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Krabhuis combines the feline fascination for cardboard boxes with the need for something to sharpen their nails on while solving the complete lack of beautiful furniture for cats out there.
Just like you, your cat needs a place to sleep and a post to scratch. Usually it’s your design couch that ends up being the victim. But the other scratch options out there didn’t really match our taste in design. And knowing cats, when you offer them a fully customized scratch palace, they still end up preferring an old shoe box. So, combining the feline fascination for cardboard boxes with our love of good design we came up with Krabhuis.
Krabhuis was designed like a child would draw a house, complete with window and chimney. The measurements are 38 x 34 x 52 centimer. Your cat may enter through one of the sides that’s left open, may sharpen it’s nails on the roof and through the window your cat may look outside.
Your Krabhuis is shipped fully assembled. All you have to do is unpack, place it on the floor and let your cat move in!
