Konstantin Grcic created this Bauhaus-inspired designed desk for the Japanese retailer Muji in collaboration with the German furniture maker Thonet, merging both German industrial with Japanese simplicity. The tubular steel desk lends a big nod to the 1920 designs that it was based on and succeeds in convincingly effortless style and beauty lending itself accessible to a younger and broader marketplace. The steel and polypropylene drawer unit is made in Japan and sold separately.
