Ro was created with room for tranquility. And tranquility is exactly what “Ro” means in Danish. Spanish designer Jaime Hayon was selected by Republic of Fritz Hansen to design the modern take on the easy chair, with the inspiration “to create an item of furniture that offers an opportunity for reflection in our busy lives.”
Ro makes finding a moment of peace and seizing it elegant-looking and comfortable without compromising appearance. Constructed with fine craftsmanship and in the highest sustainable quality, Ro was sculpted to be beautiful from all angles. The one-and-a-half seater is built with a steel frame covered by a polyurethane shell, and consists of three pieces (head, body and seat). The upholstery comes in a range of fabric and textures in a variety of nine colors: black, grey, taupe, violet, blue, yellow, light pink, sage green and sand.
Lending to Ro’s vibrant look, two different textures are methodically integrated: one for the seat shell and another for the cushions, demonstrating the contrast between the harder exterior against the invitation of a soft interior.
