Based on the new 41mm Royal Oak chronograph, Audemars Piguet produced a Royal Oak ‘Leo Messi’ limited edition watch series. Limited to 1000 pieces globally, the watch is available in either steel/tantalum, pink gold/tantalum or platinum/tantalum and it houses a self-winding mechanical calibre 2385 movement. We especially like the gold/tantalum version, as that is certainly something that one does not come across very often. The steel and platinum versions are of course more every day friendly. The watches all come with alligator straps and with an additional sportier rubber strap, both replacing the more traditional stell strap.
A disruptive and downright revolutionary timepiece, the Royal Oak is immediately recognizable thanks to its state-of-the-art engineered strongbox case, octagonal bezel secured by eight hexagonal screws, visible water resistance gaskets, dials adorned with exclusive engine-turned “Grande Tapisserie” motif.
