With the new Actros Loader and the new Actros Volumer we have implemented two sector-specific vehicle concepts which will quite simply allow you to operate more profitably when it comes to payload-sensitive or volume-oriented haulage. “Lower weight, more payload” is the motto of the new Actros Loader. It was specifically designed to meet the requirements of payload-sensitive sectors and is one of the lightest trucks in long-distance transport. In contrast, the Actros Volumer is visible evidence of how semi-trailer tractors and platform vehicles should be built today to make high-volume haulage particularly profitable. It scores many points for its enormous transportation volumes, its powertrain configurations that help to save fuel and its increased range.
The front of the new Actros dispenses almost entirely with straight lines and flat surfaces. Curves along with contrasting concave and convex lines give the vehicle an independent and unique character. A typical feature is the absence of fashionable elements in the design language. Given the large number of cab variants, the new Actros features a modular design. Regardless of the parameters — whether 2.5 or 2.3 metres wide, whether the cab has an engine tunnel or not, and whether a flat roof, an extra high roof, or any roof variant in between — the appearance is clear and well-defined in any case, with the proportions just right.
